That would make you a minimum of 39 and you still write like a tween...

Hi Mark,

Im a relative noob here too.
I have been politely informed that forum etiquette suggests you post your "hi Im new" post in the new bikers forum, along with a pic of your bike/s.
You will get lots of friendly welcomes and hellos. Thumbs Up Very Happy

The member description is based on how many posts you have made, not how many years you have been riding

Having been using this forum for a few weeks, the suggestion was polite in comparison to some subsequent posts!!
Not saying that people remain polite!! Laughing

Marks for a much better effort. It's a strange place here... People are expected to be eloquent whilst hurling abuse to and fro. Kinda like the House of Commons I guess.

So... 23 years of riding surely some entertaining stories to get your post count up and get rid of that L plate tag?

Yes.

Why *have* we not got a "noobs introductory forum/thread" ?

Is it an executive decision made previously that we're still sticking to, or have any recent campaigns for such an item been made?

It's not that all noobs are "New Bikers", and even the poor New Bikers who make it from that forum to over here or ... *waves in the general direction of more serious sub-fora* ... out there ... sometimes do struggle to get their feet under the sofas.

I spotted immediately in this new MarkT(numbers) bloke a trait similar to my mate Tigger - who waffled on in a similar manner but who was quite possibly the most entertaining, reasonably competent, fount of knowledge I have ever met. His (MarkT(numbers/wossname's) style is just "unfortunate" and probably not helped by what looks like he's prolly writing on his smartphone. I fucking hate internetting on my smartphone Evil or Very Mad
