carrying on from another thread about imaging the moon I said I'd post up my setup

well here it is

my telescope & mount are set up in my garden, I use my laptop to hook up to the control unit for the telescope
and software to select and track targets like planets or Galaxy's
I have a camera hooked up to the telescope to image the said targets
and once its all set up I retire to my room (nice & warm) and remote access the laptop and control it all from there

sometimes I do have to go outside to swap camera's or when I need to meridian flip the scope
when I go past a certain point so it doesn't hit the mount, or to fine tune the tracking
thas where the Xbox controller comes in Its used to move the scope on all axis so I don't need to touch anything
as even a slight movement causes massive shaking of the target making focus difficult to set or centering the target

just waiting on a focus motor to arrive that will also be controlled by the laptop so It will be totally hands free and totally remote
