Great moment yesterday.

It was about 5:15, coming from off an island to a mile stretch of heavy traffic (that stretch of road from Dudley zoo to the pie factory).

There was literally 6-7 bikes just happened to rock up at the same time.

One guy starts to filter, so as you do everyone followed suit...normally the tin cans just make it as difficult as possible to get passed.

But pretty much every single car made an effort to get out of the way.

Loved it, it was like Moses had appeared!

To the guy on the gas gas, if your helmet cam was on I'd love to see the footage!

By the way it's "past" not "passed".

It must be nice when that happens, though I've never experienced that level of parting. A white van man moved over for me the other day which restored my faith in humanity. For 5 seconds.

nice

was filtering earlier in the week, totally stationary traffic, wide gap between rows, taxi spots me coming and moves out!
a gap between cars in his lane allowed me to pass on his other side, he must have been fuming. Twisted Evil

Does seem to be quite region dependent.

Commuting into Cardiff was a pita for filtering induced road rage.

Southampton has a lot more bikes and I've had a lot of drivers moving over and/or not getting pissy when I filter to the front.

I think it also depends upon the time of day. I've found that 6.30-7.30am from Kent to London is really busy, but the cars are used to the bikes filtering (except for about 10% of 'em).

4pm, its all the mums in 4x4's !!! & its less busy, but far worse than the morning
