Can you use Goggles over specs? Im thinking of getting an open face helemt for round town in the summer and I like the look of some of the plain old style jet type helmets but goggles seem to be what goes with them best.

as long as the goggles fit nicely over your specs without changing the position of them on your face (as such changing the prescription due to focal length or rotation), I see no problem.

Either that, or you can get prescription goggles made in some opticians, but that is for those of us with more cash than sense.

You might want to check styles/prices for safety goggles (I know the like of bollé do them). Also iirc there's some ski goggles that work or you click prescription lenses in them (or some such mechanism).

Look for over the glasses goggles. Seem popular in USA but google not showing any UK for me.

I take it you want something like these...

FWIW I did come across this site with the over the glasses goggles. Modern style (think ski goggles) but affordable at £15 (+ £3 p&p) ballpark.

I wore a pair of those in my Cafe Racer wannabe days Embarassed They're pretty comfy and provided a surprisingly wide field of view, fit well over glasses without any pinching. I still have them as a memento but the plastic strap adjuster broke. Cost a mere 17 quid so I guess that bit was the weakest link.

If you do go for that style, try to get a pair with split lenses i.e. those in that picture. Apparently they don't distort peripheral vision as much as versions with curved lenses.

Try searching eBay for Halcyon (old Brit brand that makes that style o' goggle). About 30 quid a pair IIRC and they claim to be proper quality and all that.
