Id like to do some touring around the UK on my lil YBR 125 and was wondering if anyone had and advice or experience in making the ride a bit more comfy. Obviously won't be going anywhere near motorways and will probably be avoiding high speed roads where possible as I dont particularly enjoy having lorries trying to force me off the road because im only pushing 60-65 and they want to do 70.

I was thinking of getting a headlight fairing for a start, if nothing else I like how they make the bike look, do they actually offer much in the way of comfort/wind protection as well? I know a lot of people's answer will be man up and take the wind but im a pretty large unaerodynamic blob Razz

Definitely worth doing, they do make a fair difference for very little work.

Thats a handy site, cheers!

The screens Ive been looking at are the Puig ones, Im sure Ive seen somewhere in here that another chap has one on his YBR but I cant seem to find it again now. Heres the one Ive been thinking of getting: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141329241213?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Looks nice, but you are the biggest factor re wind resistance on a low powered bike, needs a bigger screen to effectively deflect wind over your profile.

Might cost more, but wrong screen means wasted money, unless of course aesthetics justify the purchase, budget for closer to £100, ouch, I know.

Damn Sad well at least you said that before I bought it, saves me buying twice!

Quite like the look of the Givi 601 or 660 from that site, quite pricey though, ranges from £55-90 on eBay Sad

Still need to get some engine crash bars too just in case, theyre bloody expensive too!

And some panniers.

This is quickly mounting up to an expensive hobby Laughing

Ask on here first bout the panniers, you will get good advice and options, and cheap too.

Probably going to get the oxford first time panniers, I had them on my CG125 a few years ago and they were great, just hoping to get a cheap 2nd hand pair somewhere Smile I dont need them to carry much, just some odds and ends or the occasional trip to tesco.
