TL:DR

Want part of the subframe welded..

But I'm too lazy to take the bike apart and remove the subframe.

So to prevent bike electrical damage what needs to be done?

I'm thinking remove CDI (expensive part) and the battery and fuses.

Enough?

Good welder will ensure good earth point as near as possible to work and should be no problem with a Jam bike

I weld bit of bikes often seldom remove anything not had any problems

just the battery is really needed, but cdi is probably a good idea,
no need to remove fuses
