I'm just undertaking replacing the chain and sprockets on my 99' fireblade and I need to know the torque settings for the front and rear sprockets and also the rear wheel. Hopefully get it done whilst the suns still shining Cool So would be great if someone had the manual to hand!

Thanks, Downloaded the common service manual, quite a useful resource Thumbs Up

I ended up calling round some Honda dealers to see if they could help, turns out most mechanics go home at lunch time on a Saturday but Crewe motorcycles went searching through their manuals and found be some settings. They gave me 63nm for the sprocket nuts and 113nm for the rear axle, quite a way off the Haynes ones at 108nm and 95nm respectively the poster states.

Who to trust Thinking

108nm for the Rear sprocket bolt? they are what M8, M10? surely 108nm would snap it!

Rear drive sprocket nuts for the 1000 are 108nm / 78ftlb so that concurs.

Front drive sprocket nut I have as 54nm / 39ftlb.

Rear axle nut 93nm/ 67ftlb.
