Hi, I picked up my KMX wheels today after having new tyres fitted. They are Radial's if that makes any difference to balancing?

The problem I have is that they have stuck on a load of adhesive weights on the inside surface of the rim, which I feel looks a bit shit? Is there any other way I can have my tyres balanced that would not involve any weights being stuck onto the rim itself? It will be hard to clean now, and with the old cross ply tyres, there were no weights stuck onto the rim, so can I avoid this with the new tyres?

Yes, there sure is.

Instead of adding weights to the light side of the wheel, drill holes in the heavy side. If the air comes out plug the holes with lead Smile

What about weights on the spokes instead?

TBH if the weights were on the side of the rim like you would have with car wheels, it would not be a problem. IMO a small lead weight would look a lot better than big sticky blob weights covering the inner face of the rim.
