Hi Guys,
I've got a 1999 CR125 engine that keeps blowing head gaskets. The thing is, there's this odd brass ring on the inside-top, of the head (see below). It doesn't seem like a stock part. The engine is on a shifter kart that was probably raced in the past so that may have something to do with it. Should I just buy a new cylinder jug/head and start from there?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Are the engine breathers clean and working? Find them, clean them, check them. 
EDIT: I found out you had a two stroke engine, so not sure about those breathers then.
