Hi All,

While riding , I can hear a whiizing sound which is best described . it can only be heard above certain speed (20-30mph). not sure whether it is front or rear . could it be wheel bearing ?

I am thinking of putting on stand and listen to it after spinning each wheel but not sure if i can narrow it down as the sound is only there after certain speed.

also when you hear squeeking from brake pads, is that a sign of something?
My experience been no they are still ok but asking in case you have a different opinion

Anyway, on a more serious note, I think my zzr600 made a funny wizzy sound if I didn't oil the chain, possibility?

Thumbs Up Could well be dry chain rollers oscillating.

Nothing a quick coat of lube shouldn't cure if it is.

if its a high pitched whizzing/squeaky noise, do you have a cable driven speedometer or tach?

The sound is till there. the chain is tight and have applied castrol engine oil to it .

i used to apply it to the rollers and after reading haynes it is suggested to apply it to the links on the side which did .

I guess it is normal and I have never realised it before.
