I hope someone can help me, my husband has a YBR 125 custom and the exhaust is pretty much dead - at the moment it's held on by wire!

Obviously the custom exhaust is very pricey compared to a regular exhaust, and naturally we'd prefer to avoid a big bill if we can. We have been told that we can buy a regular exhaust and a friend can tinker with it to make it fit (he's a welder). My question is: is this actually viable or is our friend talking out of his arse?

I'm sorry if my post is a bit sparse, I am 100% clueless when it comes to these things, but I don't want my hubby spending money on something that's going to explode or fall apart as this is his only transport for work. Thank you for reading, and I hope someone has some wisdom for me!

No he's right it is perfectly possible you just have to adapt the hangar bracket, other than that it's just the same. Remember to blank off the breather pipe if it's a FI model if the new exhaust doesn't have the fitting.

And yes, the price of the Custom exhaust is fucking outrageous.

I'm so glad you've said that! Thank you very much for the reply, we were really balking at the thought of buying that Custom exhaust and this means that our bill will be literally cut in two... fantastic news Very Happy

Thank you!
