seized brass carb jet

I don't know why this seems to happen on so many bikes.
Pilot jet seized in carb body. Flat head all chewed up. Tried plus gas on it and lightly tapping on it with a hammer to loosen the threds.
What next? Preferably something I can do without removing the carb from the bike

Copaslip will seize brass screws into carb bodies pretty quickly.

I heard heating the screw with a soldering iron can help. Someone even suggested nitric acid to melt the brass, sounds a bit daft if you as me..

getting the whole carb piping hot might help. Aluminium expands much more than brass.
