Recently I upjetted my speedy from a stock 72 jet to a 80 jet and it still bogged around 50mph so I upjetted to a 82 and it then got to 50 but wouldn't go any faster, I left that for a week or so and realised that it was flooding the carb at first. It would start after a few kicks then would barely pull away. So I dropped the jet down to a 78 and the acceleration was back up to fast again and it would rarely bog, maybe the odd time. But it'll have it's days, so some days it'll be fine and others it'll just bog from 40-50.

When I first got my Yasuni R racing exhaust it went 58mph with ease and no bogging (my speedo goes up to 60mph).

But that was in the first week of having it, I didn't upjet it for the first month or so of having the exhaust and the speed slowly decreased. It got to the point where if I went over 48mph it would bog like hell (felt like it was cutting revs).

Recently it's started to bog a lot more from 40-50mph and none of my friends know why and neither do I as it's been upjetted!
It runs overall better with the 78 jet but barely pulls off and has poor acceleration with the 80 or 82 jet.

Also, would anyone be able to explain the loss in power? As it did go 58mph and now it sits at about 50?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
-Shaun

Google teslls me that a Speedflight 2 is a 50cc moped - if it does do 50 mph (which I thought was illegal due a 30 mph restriction) count yourself lucky.

58 mph sounds rather implausible on a 50cc scooter even indicated.

Changing a mainjet isn't going to flood anything and by the amounts you're doing it ain't going to change much anyway - more likely someones pissed in your fuel tank or stuffed a rag in the airbox..
