In practice, filters block many sites that are not harmful to children. Sometimes, they are blocked by mistake. Sometimes, they are blocked deliberately. For example, many blogs and forums are blocked by default.

BCF isn't showing as blocked for Virgin Media, but if this is only happening today, then I will find out when I get home as I am on BT at home.

It is all with default filtering on the configuration. I'm sure the BT default is with child filters on.

Virgin Media parental controls are set to "on". They don't seem to give any more details about what this does.


It seems as though unless you're an idiot that can't change these settings, it makes no difference at all
