|
BCF Bike Picture Challenge 2015 Round 4
Take a picture of your bike with the object or place named by the previous winner, and then set the next challenge.
Poll added for 7 days to decide whether the first to 10 is the winner, or the most pictures once 50 have been completed.
Rules:
1. Has to be YOUR motorcycle.
2. Picture has to be taken after challenge is made. Challenge must be met by a single picture. You can post more pictures to make something clearer.
3. Challenge is good for one week. If nobody gets it by then, please select a different challenge.
4. Challenges must be legal and Safe For Work.
5. If you comment rather than post an entry, then please repeat the current challenge at the end of your comment, especially if you start a new page.
6. No repeat challenges within this thread. You can repeat challenges from previous rounds.
7. Only one person can win each challenge and set the next one. Challenge setter to resolve any disputes, or failing that, three consecutive s from other members wins it.
8. Challenges cannot be won by the person setting the challenge.
9. If you want to show a late entry after a challenge has been won, then please only post a link to the picture. Do not actually show your image directly as it's confusing.
10. Round ends after 50 challenges?
Participants should reward challenge winning photos with
The goal is to encourage people to ride out, so please make challenges clear and achievable by most members.
Challenges that require other people or props or that can be satisfied by taking a picture of your bike in the driveway or garage are generally frowned upon.
Dangerous or practically impossible challenges should not be set.

Can we change this now? maybe something less obscure? e.g. a penguin in a swimsuit sat in a KFC eating a chip, cut by burger king and cooked by mc donolds listening to mcfly?

The idea of the game was to get you out and about and exploring new places. It kinda fell into a pattern of being the first one to go out and get something generic like a shop picture or coloured car.
As obscure as this is, it would give you a chance to do some riding, and hopefully come across what you're looking for. |
Let's be honest. If I don't know were I can find an example of the set challenge, or I know that I'm not going to be able to find one (such as a black sheep, when I live near enough in London), then I'm not going to bother going out. I'm sure most of us don't have days at a time to waste on the off chance that we might see the next objective either.
If you want to encourage me to get on the bike, you need to set something reasonable, so that I can find out where the nearest abattoir is, for example, and factor it in to my ride. Personally, I don't mind riding for hours just to get a random photo, so long as I know I'm going to find what I'm looking for when I get there and if someone beats be to it, so what? At least I had a good ride.
The trouble at the moment is how lucky do I have to be to pass and actually notice a billboard with a film poster on in, let alone find one for a film that I remember for certain was released last year, where the the council, or whoever, have forgotten to change the advertisement because it's clearly out of date now?
Long rounds or short rounds, I don't care—I agree with Hellkat; I'm happy just to win a challenge or two—but pot-luck challenges that last for weeks on end because no one can do them are ridiculous.

Maybe 'billboard featuring a penguin' would be a fair compromise?
Not had a go at any of the challenges yet as only just back into riding but agree that near impossible ones wouldn't encourage me to get out and try to find them.
Maybe just change the challenge if 5 days pass and no ones got it? ____________________ Current Bikes / Projects: 1999 Rieju RS1 50

Well as the challenge setter, if I am allowed to change it how about instead of a 2014 movie, it's now any movie? That's gotta be easy! ____________________ Current: '07 Suzuki SV1000 & '07 Honda SH300i (again).
