Dry tyres for 'winter' trackday

Hi, I'm possibly doing Donington in a weeks time. I've got a spare set of wets so rain isn't a problem, however I've never done a trackday in colder weather before, so am unsure as to what 'dry' tyres to run - for my dry wheels I have a choice between Supercorsas and Michelin Pilot Road 3s which would be more of an intermediate. If it doesn't rain is the track likely to stay damp (from morning dew/overnight rain) anyway, or does it dry out like it does in summer with use?

If its completely dry I'd use the supercorsas but November is a bit of a lottery weatherwise. If it rains it stays damp and in my experience Donnington is pretty slippery when cold or damp. I'd go with the Michelins at that time of year, be pretty hard to keep heat in the Pirellis on a cold November trackday.

Cheers, that's what I was thinking. I'm changing the tyres myself, so if by the weekend the forecast for Tuesday isn't wall to wall sunshine the PR3s will go on. It's only a shakedown for a new trackbike anyway so won't be setting personal bests

Use the supercorsa, they work well in any temperature - oh and chuck the Michelin in the bin, it is the best place for them!
