Hi guys,
I would like to import a few used parts for my bike from the US, but since i've never done it before, i have no idea what is involved in it.
What do i need to pay attention to when i buy a part from ebay and sending it to me in London?
Is there a customs procedure i need to go through?
Is there any kind of parts i'm not allowed to import?

The parts i need are rear shock absorber and front master brake cylinder for my Kawasaki ZX6R

Thanks in advance,
Danny.

The courier will sort it out through customs. It'll cost around £12. You'll then need pay any VAT or duty due. That's the big one.

Note that if it comes via Parcel Farce that they'll bum you for another £15 fee on top of the customs duty, i.e. they want paying twice for doing one job.

Double check the part is for the correct bike,

I've been buying parts for a 1999 ZZR 600 via eBay and keep being offered parts in the search results for the ZX6R as Kawasaki's model range and model names differed.
