Just got one a couple of months ago. I pootle locally and use it to commute 100 miles each way to Oxford once a week. I'm loving it so far: cruises at slightly illegal speeds nicely, surprisingly light for what it is, and better on the corners than my old bike. Not tried off-roading yet. Going to France on it soon.

Edit: a few annoyances e.g. I can't see the water level without a bright light inside, the airflow and frame near your legs gets very hot, wonky petrol gauge / light, tricky center stand, alarm sets itself in 30 secs.

I'm currently touring Spain on one, anyone who has the datatool S4 alarm fitted I'd suggest having it removed ASAP before it leaves you stranded. Early 06-07 1050 sprints had a 30amp alternator which was prone to failure. That couldnt handle the added electrical accessories well. Later models have a 50amp. The OEM luggage can be problematic if you over fill them as the catches can "pop" open unexpectedly, as a guy on the ferry found out carrying his top case back down to the car deck. A little OTT, but I shove a cargo net over each case lid while touring. Otherwise the 1050 is a solid bike

As I said....Im in Spain on 1, I landed in Santander Sunday night.
Then Monday morning headed south over the hills down the A629, then east via the BU530 past the embalsa du Sobron down to Zaragoza via Miranda de Ebro, then onto Tortosa.........then.
There was some freakish weather in Spain .........Surprised
Yesturday I left Tortosa and heading inland on the A226 over the hills towards Teruel, 1700m up punto de Villaroya I found myself in the clouds with thunderstorm around me. then over a few other hills & down the A330 to Landete. I got to Landete just in time, as the heavens opened. Today I've headed south to El Pinoso north of Murcia, ahead of riding down Mojacar.
