removing R&G crash bungs from ZZR600

I'm trying to take the belly pan off, however the crash bungs prevent me from doing so,

I can get a ring spanner onto the back of right hand one to hold the nut while I turn the bolt but I can't get anywhere with the left hand one.

Any ideas?

I've been known to grind and saw a ring spanner (belonging to my employer!!) to reduce its size in the past so it'll fit in a tricky spot...
