Chaps

I need a cheap PCI-e graphics card, preferably under £30 so any recommendations?

Probably the worst that will be thrown at it will be BluRays.

If the hardest thing it will do is play films you can pick up a 1GB Radeon 5450 or an 1GB Nvidia GT210 for around or even under £20. Manufacturer largely won't matter they are bottom end passively cooled cards just get whatever is cheapest when you look.

Just had a look on hotdeals and nothing popped out. wr is right though, if you are just after HD content and not games just go for an AMD passive cooled job, less energy, no fans so silent and cheap.

keep an eye out for a cheap hd7570/ hd8570 (rebranded) they are oem only graphics cards (dell, hp etc) piss over the 210 or hd5450, they are just slightly behind a hd6670 in performance.

Not bad for general use and pretty quiet/cool you will be looking anywhere between £20-40 and will need to pick up the drivers from the oem yourself as they are not on the amd website.

The hd7750 can go as low as £55 in places but the low profile versions are still holding around £90, it is probably on e of the best motherboard powered <75w graphics cards around (actually closer to 50w).

What power supply are you dealing with?
