Oh right... Me...

I used the wrong socket a few changes ago, slightly rounded them then overtightened them with a pair of grips. Now snapped them.

First one went and I thought bugger... Oh well 2 won't snap! Then the 2nd one snapped. Kinda felt it was an all or nothing moment and did the third too.

Anyone know the best way to get the little buggers out? I looked at then reverse drill bit things in wickets, but they all seem to be 4mm +. I believe these are 3mm at most.[/u]

Centre punch and a hammer, gouge out a step first on an outside edge then use that to tap it round and loosen it.

They are far more likely to be at least 6mm bolts.

A 3mm bolt is miniscule.

Thanks Yen. Worked on one with a small screwdriver and hammer. other two are more stubborn so will head into town and get a proper centre punch.

Hugh, you are right, im mixing the thread width with head size.
