Hi there, new member in need of advice from someone who knows better than me...
I'm quite mechanically adept, being a professional mechanic/restorer, but as the name suggests I'm more used to working with examples of British four wheel drive vehicles.

Anyways, I've been given a bike that needs a bit of fettling and have decided that I'm now old/sensible enough to give 2 wheels a go without killing myself.
The bike is a SYM Huskey 125 which is part way through a conversion to run a CG125 Honda engine.
I'm told it's been running, but needs a bit of fettling to make it all work properly.

The bits I'm not sure on is the fuel cutoff systems on the 2 bikes. I'm told one has some sort of electronic system whilst the other has a vacuum setup.
The easiest solution would be a manual fuel tap, but I've not got the knowledge to know what needs to be connected where to make everything work properly.

Any hhelp would be much appreciated.

A vacuum fuel tap has two lines going to it. One from the bottom of the tap to the carb, this carries fuel. One thinner one from the fuel tap to the carb rubber (inlet manifold). This carries a pulsed vacuum to the fuel tap.

A normal gravity-fed fuel tap has one line, to carry fuel. If the carb rubber has a takeoff for vacuum, it needs blanking off.

I would expect to have a normal gravity-fed tap on a CG.

Cheers, I'll see if I can work it out from that, if not I'll return with pictures and arrows and stuff.
