hi
two days ago the gear linkage of my bike snapped out from the end where it connects to the gear box.
bike has 22k miles and i already ordered a replacement one...
now.. what im thinking.. is it a part that wears of at that mileage or could it be something inside the box like a spring broken that caused the gear to stuck? i dont remember pressing it to strong to brake it...
i dont understand a lot of mechanics.. got only a haynes manual and willpower, and im not willing to spend cash on the garage! if it was a spring how difficult would that be?
if its only the gear linkage i know its pice of cake.. but if its the spring im not sure!

Nuts broken in half.. what im thinking is if the spring inside broken and caused the gear to stuck and as I pressed down it broken.. or just wear of the nut..
