Anyone ever done this before?

I've removed the selector from my GPZ600R a long time ago (before winter) and dont know how to get it back in the correct position. Its been so long ago that I cannot remember which way it came off.

I can get it saying neutral on the dash, but when you select up (gear 2, 3, etc) it doesnt select other gears.

Then if you fit it the other way around, it touches the side stand when you put it into first gear!

Mad Mad Mad

Sometimes these things have a mark on them so you know where it is meant to go but cant seem to see one on this bike.

Anyone got a GPZ600R to show me at least if the block part goes above or below the splined shaft.
