Hi, I'm not the most mechanical person but had to scrap my dying cg. But not without robbing the parts that looked alright.

My problem is that I now have the clocks and no way to test them before offering them on ebay or something. The bike was in no way working when I took it apart so I have no way of knowing without testing them.

You can test the speedo by using a drill on the speedo cable.

You won't exactly be getting the needle to move much, but its all linked together so if the odometer reading increases (or decreases) then it's working.

Run the drill in 'reverse'.. cable turns same direction as the needle swings. As you look at it, that's clock-wise, but from behind where cable goes in its anti-clockwise.
