Hi all

My friends girlfriend has been trying on all sorts of helmets and none so far have fit her properly until now.

She's tried on the IXS helmet but I can't find them on the sharp rating site or any reviews.

Anyone shed some light on these? My friend wants her to be safe and doesn't want to buy her a duff helmet. It's just finding one that fits!

Cheers Karma

If it fits, I'd take it.

Overall aim would be to not crash, regardless of that they all fill the minimum requirements anyway.

A cheap lid that fits well is going to offer better protection than the latest and greatest eleventy billion pond AGV race rep that doesn't fit so well. Fit is everything.

I wear an Arai, the fit is perfect for me but the build quality is the worst I have experianced. First time out at Loton Park the start man knocked my visor down and it fell to bits. Do not become a name junkie.

This and what Paddy said.

If it is marked with an ECE 22.05 sticker on the outside or label on the inside then it has met and passed the same tests other helmets have passed.

if it fits, wear it.

My Mrs didn't like my Shark Speed R, (It's size large.)
complaining it was too small.
In the end she went for a HJC RPHA ST in a size medium, I tried it
on and it' s as snug as my shark was when it was brand new
so I guess their sizing is slightly more generous.
I didn't think a medium was going to fit me at all.
(Must road test that HJC one day, I wonder if it's quieter than the shark?)
