Where is the contact breaker inspection cover on a 1981 Kawasaki Z200 please?
I have read the manual and cannot find anything described like it.
I have unscrewed all covers and cannot find anything that looks like a contact breaker and I cannot find any mechanism for adjustment.
My bike cuts out and miss fires when hot.

I've seen them at the top of the cylinder head on some bikes and inside the end of the crank case on others.

On that model I seem to recall them being on the left hand side of the camshaft which you will find is overhead (above the cylinder).

Pretty sure it's located within the rear brake caliper.

I have just caught up with this post and thanks for the replies. My 1981 Z200 does not have any contact breaker points, so I have stopped looking for them.

I had a Z200 for years.........the contact breaker points are under the circular cover on the left hand side of the cylinder head at the top. It doesn't sound like you are too clued up for messing with these, any servicing, setting or timing, is best left to some-one who knows what they're doing.
