Bike-it do some Acerbis copies for about half the price. They're just as good, I've had both.

From Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0037IX2D4

Don't know if you can get them cheaper, you'll have to do some Googling.

I went for the black:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HG33-REINFORCED-HAND-GUARDS-DIRT-PIT-BIKE-MOTO-X-ENDURO-MX-CRF-BLACK-/360732961877?pt=UK_CartsParts_Vehicles_ATVQuad_Trike_Parts_Accessories_SM&hash=item53fd5c2c55#ht_743wt_721

And happy with my choice:

Survived 3 tarmac spills so far. And i'm confident they will fit most bar shapes/sizes/styles if needed with just a bit of jiggarypokey. Thumbs Up

Are you running with the lever clamps tight on the bars?

If so you can slacken them off to encourage them to spin on the bars rather than snap off....

When I bought my bike some Polisport solid plastics were on there, one good crash, turning onto a gravel lane and the front tyre washed out shattered the left one and then doing an enduro in a quarry smashed the other, it looked funny riding around with just one! Laughing I had some cheap Chinese wraparounds with a metal bar through the middle, I bought them for my MT5, for the look, but they wouldn't fit, I ordered the wrong sized expander for the internal diameter of the bars.

I then mashed the two together, I used the polisport mounts, because I broke the Chinese mounts while tightening them down on my 250, at the inner mount, and used the,m for months. Crashed many times, I finally bust them when I went green laning in Shrewsbury with M1ke off here and tried to hop a ditch, but instead of changing from third to second, like I wanted to to give me the pop to jump the ditch, I was already in second and changed to neutral, so just revved the nuts off the bike and fell face first in the ditch, smashed my headlight, my digital speedo, Crying or Very sad , and bent the handguards and loads of stuff up front. But it was a good smash and they took plenty of other hard crashes, one at 55mph on the road.

Think this is them.

but in black

EDIT: Looked at the other replies and they look like the ones I had.

Is this wrist number 3 you're on?

Wink

Consider slightly lossening your levers - that way they have a good chance of swivelling in an impact.

Anything with a solid bar seems to be as good as anything else.

Or you could fit Unbreakable levers.

i got a set of those and tbh, not impressed.... taken a few falls and they are bent to shit... only for having a shorty brake lever, i would have to replace that side... also the allen head rounded on the tightening insert even thou i use good quality allen keys .... but yeah for sure they have saved the levers a good few times ..

I'm looking for a set of hand guards too. I'm generally against buying cheap tat, but how about a set of these bad boys, at a staggering (lol) £7 are they even worth a look?

Look at the picture of my 50, now look at those. They are the same but red. I, unfortunately, paid about 11 quid for mine. Sad Good find.

The guards themselves were awesome until a massive smash and I had to take them off at the side of th trail and re-bend them to stop them rubbing the levers and stuff. I say awesome, they needed a lot of doo-hickery to get them to fit and they kept bending every little drop after the big one.

I also found the clamp at the inner edge snapped while tightening the pinch bolts, and the other side snapped dropping the bike against the garage wall. I used some solid plastic clamps off a broken set of Polisport Integrals and they worked fine after using some washers to make spacers. Any handguard like that, make sure the bar insert is correct for the handle bars. I.E. Renthal 7/8th bars have a 12mm inner diameter, most standard steel bars have abou 16mm, I think. If in doubt try to measure your own before ordering. I didn't and had to get some rawl plugs from Homebase to fit.

Wow, you must be gutted that you could have got them for only £10.94!

Are they a steel band?

Do look a bit cheap - but then if you end up breaking a £5.50 guard but save levers etc, it's probably not a bad deal either.

Leave me alone, you. Laughing

I seem to recall them being magnetic. They did the job, never stranded with a missing lever. Last week i high sided in the wet and had to ride home with no clutch lever. I left it like that for a few days actually, if i still had the chinese specials fitted it would have been saved.

Lever cost about a fiver so i reckon i got my levers worth out of them.
