It has a connector to your battery, so why do you need enhanced battery life, GPS batteries never last long anway. Tom toms last 90 mins without being plugged in.

Got a smartphone (Android/Apple)?

1. Buy a sat-nav app (TomTom or Co-Pilot - about £20 for UK only, £35 with European maps).

2. Buy one of these (£10):

3. Pair of headphones (or better if you have a bluetooth headset on your helmet).

Job done.

That example you show is unbranded - could be utter pants.

I've got an old Garmin Zumo (400, I think). I bought it off ebay a few years ago for just over £100. Still works as good as new and goes out in all weathers.

Would imagine they go for very little now.
