Hi,

I have rear sets on my r6 not sure the make of them but they are solid feel well built. Just wondering the pegs don't fold in on them how does that hold up in a typical low side?

If they catch on something while sliding I think you would really want them to break. Imagine for instance your bike is sliding down the road at 40mph, the footpeg catches in a drain or crack in the road, then stops dead.

All that force must do something to the frame where they attach, it's bound to twist or break something surely?

It's pure supposition, but I wouldn't like the idea of a non breaking/folding footpeg on my own bike.

Better body position, for moving around on the bike, have a look at the position of the pegs on a race bike!

this is my track bike 06 r6 not long purchased its rigged out with all this kit that I have never had before. I had a looked at putting the stocks back on and noticed the pegs are at roughly the same place that's why I thought they were crash proof. why spend all that cash they are pretty expensive.

That just means the person who fitted them set them up to be the same as the standard pegs rather than setting them up for him.
