Howdy all. After a long and... Adventurous trip of getting very very lost, I made it to my destination on Friday night. 5 hours late but in one piece
My question is...
Where can I buy a bike friendly sat nav on the high street before my return journey? I don't have any power points on my bike so a normal car one doesn't have the battery to last my journey. I've tried halfords and Currys but they're online only
If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciate! I'm around the Newbury/Basingstoke/reading area so I don't mind traveling a bit to get one.
Thank you all! ____________________ Currently Riding: CBR125-R7 (and having too much fun doing it) + Kawasaki Z750 (She's called Clementine for a reason!) |

Seems to be available on Iphones - not sure how it functions on them though.
I've used Navfree numerous times on Android in the car and on the bike.
Does have audio issues sometimes on my S3 which requires a few restarts of the app/adjusting volume/restarting the phone before it will give audio-pointers properly, but as a visual sat-nav it works fine. Free maps and use, and if you download them all during the trial period basically free maps of most of the world.
Download everything on Wifi at home and you can turn everything except GPS off after that |

I just use Google maps on my smartphone.
You can plug in some headphones for audio guidance if you want although, this will use up your battery pretty quick on longer journeys or just enter in your location and destination and use it as a map, as this will save your battery.
Just pull over to check where you are now and again if you need to. ____________________ There ain't no devil, there's just god when he's drunk.

Apologies if this sounds harsh,
But whats wrong with...well...a map?
People were navigating the country on motorcycles a good few years before the invention of the Satnav, and they managed just fine.
Fuck it, Smiler got to the BBQ without one diddn't he?
Technology isn't the be all and end all of everything & you won't learn maps/roadsigns by giving up and buying a twatnav ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

I had a cigarette lighter socket on my last bike, and it cooked the circuits on my MP3! |
