Hi

Had a hell of a rattle on this CG 125 and found the problem to be play on this shaft going into the clutch basket.

The effect of the play on it has created a bit of swarf from the casing which it has been contacting which has scoured the barrel a little bit.

Wondering if a bearing has been forgotten or the shaft ran in the casing using a bush or something or other lubricated by oil (considering previous mong put the oil filter in backwards I get a good idea that oil starvation has sped up wear).

The shaft and area of the engine.

So could I get a bearing or insert to place between the casing & the clutch basket?

Thanks fella Karma

Not really that familiar with the bottom ends of these engines, most of the ones I've worked on have had top end problems and been of a different vintage (post 6V) or even slightly modified design.

Would like to do full check over before using it, the main bearings do seem good though but I know the damage could be further reaching.

Shame she needs it on the road now she's wrote her car off Rolling Eyes

Aye since its now in a million bits (& she only paid £180 for it) figure may as well give it a good renovating.

Such a simple machine to work on (especially because some other doyle has left a few quite serious bolts un-torqued Rolling Eyes ) got all the resources to do it just needed confirmation of missing component Thumbs Up
