my 3yr old scala rider FM packed up this morning, in that nobody could hear me so likely the microphone is fooked.
Not overly disappointed, it has been used almost every single day, all day, all weathers for 3 years so it's not bad going.

So, did a little detour to Fowlers in Bristol on the off chance that they A: Had them and B: were not still charging a decent % more than anyone else for anything they sold.

As it was they had a decent range of the scala rider sets, all the newer range and none of the older stock that I was expecting.

The Q1 is the cheapest but apart from bluetooth (2 channels so can connect 2 phones) also has fm radio, plays music from the phone, voice dial and answer, extra stick on microphone along with usual boom mic, data/charge lead and extra lead so passenger can connect to music/audio via cable.
All in a snazzy case for the bargain price of £109.
I bought one, fitted it in the car park as the holes are the same as the old ones but one additional upgrade is that the clamp bracket (i don't use them) is now metal and not the crappy plastic ones that break.
Sound quality I feel is better than that of my last one and the couple of callers I spoke to said it sounded like i was indoors and all the time I was on bike.

I've had a brief look online and it seems the Fowlers price is right there with the lowest, also got some weise Dakar gloves for the same price as people list for on ebay.

Has fowlers got reasonable in it's old age?

Hi You can get a Q1 Teamset for rider to pillion, 2 in the box already paired together.
