Suzuki GSX750F Problems

Morning Everyone.

I have been offered a 1993 Suzuki GSX650 F with 38k on the clock for £400, it has no MOT and has been SORN
as the owner has a second bike and works 12 hour shifts so can't be bothered with it.

The problem is that it does run but from what I understand it runs rough, the chap selling thinks its just a HT Lead fault, any suggestions that I can look into or possibilities of what it could be, apparently the carbs where cleaned out not long ago but at the moment I don't know who buy weather it was a garage, himself or a friend but I presume it was ok after this was done.
