£20k for that Shocked.

Their suggestion they could build one as 'super sport' suggests they have no real idea to bikes past tart value.

But then I've never quite seen the point of their cars - might as well get a radical if you're in it for the driving rather than the "look at me, I've got an Aerial like on top gear" thing!

Yeah saw it in mcn t'other week. It's all kinds of ugly, esp. w/ the girders. Ungainly looking - seems to be taking styling cues from the Fourth Bridge.

Go in one. I've been in both, and the Ariel is a very different experience

The Ariel Atom is superb fun to be in but given the choice I would take the new Morgan 3.

Given the choice, so would I... but having got up close to one, and looked at the brochure (You know they have dropped the sliding column front suspension! HERETICS!") I think I'd probably plump for a self built Lomax.....

Everyone moans about the lack of sliding king-pin suspension on the front end of the Morgan.....Then they have a go in one. I went up Prescott as a passenger and have a photo of us going around Pardon with one tyre totaly distorting and the other one a few mm off the floor!

It's not about the performance, though is it?

The Pan-Head derived 'Kit-Chop' motor might be a little more technologically contemporary with the old Jap or Matchless V's than a Guzzi-Lump or (yuk) 2CV engine commonly stuffed in Lomax's... but what would people think if they had hung a water-cooled VFR1200 lump off the front, eh? "Oh I know, it ruins the whole classic 'look'... but look at how good the emission ratings are!"

Base model price is £26,000 & rising with options... for which you do get a brand new, bespoke built, British crafted vehicle.... priced against other garage-trophy-toys... and after much mental anguish I reckon that has to be pretty bludy good value for money.. it IS still a Malvern-Made-Morgan after all.... BUT... personally, I think I prefer the 'original' and same money would probably get a pretty tidy genuine antique, rather than a reproduction. I mean, the new Morgan 3, has a steel tube chassis and aluminium body! Where's carved ash tree and horse trotter glue laminated ply-wood, and cellulose doped canvas? Eh?

But a Lomax? Well, it better suits my pocket for a start, AND I'd get the fun of building it, as well as fun of driving it... ACTUALLY where's my jig-saw... I'm sure I spotted a very suitable donor engine outside...

Yup, that was it.... now who has a shed load of ply-sood shuttering they don't need.... Laughing Yup... to build myself a 'Dog-House'... think that's where I'd be living for the rest of my days if I tried triking her strada! Laughing
