Well I took part in my first CX race earlier this week, definitely an eye opener on how fit you need to be to be competitive! Shocked

Enjoyed every minute of it though and have another one to do on September 20th - definitely need to get some serious training done!

Highly recommend trying one if you haven't already! Really friendly race/people and great atmosphere! They were handing out tokens during the race and if you managed to get one you could exchange it for a beer! Wink Although, I was too burst to look for tokens!

Laughing She probably beat me in the end, too! Nearly went over her leg but luckily not! There's another crash on the last lap just after that wee bit - I was shattered, couldn't even take advantage of it.

I did a cyclocross race once and it was fun in a self endurance test kind of way. There were a few of us on mountain bikes so we had a bit of a sub race between the MTB guys. I had a pretty good battle with one guy but he got me on the last lap and I just didn't have enough left in me to reel him back in.

I'm in no rush to do another one though. I'd rather just do an MTB XC race if I wanted to do a non gravity orientated MTB race.
