Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please recommend a collection & delivery service for a bike, I have seen one that I like but its in Devon and I'm in Grimsby Sad I realise it may be cheaper to have it collected for me rather than pay train fees, accommodation for the night etc etc.

Although the ride back home would be fantastic the missus is not so keen Sad

start riding home
stop halfway
stay over
ride home

weekend away with the missus in a couple of hotels.

I've absolutely no personal experience of their service but a lot of people seem to use a company called Shiplys. A quick search will probably bring something up.

My brother had a car delivered by a guy found on Shiply. He couldn't fault it/him. Well priced as well as drivers bid against each other for the job.

Sometimes you get lucky sometimes less so with shiply.

Try just searching for 'bike transport'.

I might be able to help out if you don't find anything else with a contribution to fuel - but it's a good way out of my way (I have to do Kent to West Yorks at some point) and right now don't have a massive amount of time.

This made me laugh. I just drove half of Spain earlier in 5 hours. Could probably do it all in 10 easily but booked in to Madrid for a few days.

Shiply as a company run a site where people see how low they can outbid each other to fill their van with tat to deliver all over.
Chances are, your bike will be strapped to the side of a van against a mattress and the rest of the van piled with whatever goodies they have promised to deliver.

If it gets to you at all. several have gone walkies.

Personally. I use www.wemovebikesandquads.co.uk

£130 it will cost you, door to door. You can even trust them to hand over your cash on collection so that you don't get scammed.

I bacs my cash to their account, they hand over cash when collecting, bike gets to me in a few days.

As said, it's cheaper than the train and you just have to be there when they tell you they'll be dropping it off to you.
