So on my commute this morning I was filtering along the M4 following a Triumph Sprint doing about 30 through stationary traffic. On coming up to a car that was close to the line (but still with plenty of room to get through) the rider put out his fist and smacked the wing mirror. The mirror smashed spreading shards of glass all over the motorway in my path, thanks! Thumbs Down

Now some cars (looking at Addison Lee MPVs here) can drive like idiots and deliberately block your path, but this car looked like he was just trying to see the traffic up ahead . The riders actions were a bit uncalled for. The guy was not even in a hurry as he pulled over to let me though a few hundred meters down the motor way.

Now don't get me wrong I have been tempted myself to dish out some wing mirror justice but I cant help thinking that the car driver in this case had done little wrong and now will be more inclined to target bikers rather than let us through.

What a knob, I've seen this many times while filtering, the biker thinks it's his God given right to have all traffic part like Moses and the red sea on his arrival.

I filter every day A40 and there are a lot of considerate motorists who will move out of the way, this will just make this car driver hate all motorcyclists, oh and if he got his reg could be done for leaving the scene of an accident.

Sorry forgot to mention he had a Go pro strapped to his helmet. I thought it was an idiot thing to do and even more so wearing a recording device.

He makes a bad name for the rest of us. In hindsight, you stopping and giving the numberplate to the driver would have been right.

Just because he rides a motorbike doesn't mean we defend his actions, just as being a friend with a drink driver who crashed into another car doesn't mean we should not give information to the innocent party.

Yeah, in hindsight I should have. I think at the time I was a bit shocked and then trying to avoid the glass. I was only about 10 meters behind him. Not a great place to stop either some bikers tank it down the M4 even when the traffic is not moving.

He'll probably post it on YouTube later to show us all how clever and hard he is. That's what tossers like him do....It brightens up their pathetic lives.

Not everyone who rides with a camera is a vlogger.

But all vloggers are twats, so I see where the assumption is coming from.

If you'd had a camera...

The reason I now wear a helmet camera at all times is because some utter tosser on a scooter cut in front of me and kicked the mirror off of the car in front leaving me to swerve around the debris.

Can't remember his reg.. It was an 08 blue sprint, so if you see one with a rider with a mounted go pro on his helmet on the m4, get in front of him.

I suppose if I had a mounted cam I would have had his plate... And I could show everyone how exciting my normal commute to work is Confused

Edit:and I could have delivered on page one:(
