I don't think anything would happen to your license. e.g. wouldn't be revoked under the New Drivers Act.

However expect a possible increase in insurance premium's as insurance companies don't like penalty point's either.

The six point rule only counts for new licenses not category changes, I worried about this when I did my DAS, instructor told me to stop being a pratt and not to worry about it!!

Three points won't effect your insurance too much, insurance companies assume that everyone has three points for speeding. It will start going up if you get more after that.

So if someone had been driving a car for say, 5 years, and then passed their bike test and had that category added, then could rack up 12 points before they get banned?
