Well ... after failing the normal 125 test twice I have now started training for the DAS instead!!

(Apparently everyone keeps telling me that riding a larger bike is easier than a smaller one ... so I am giving it a go)

And to all of you out there in the process of taking your licence ... if you are old enough to do DAS then do it!

It was suggested to me a while back but I didn't follow the suggestion but now after my first lesson I realise that I should have done it long ago. It was FANTASTIC!! Very Happy Very Happy

Now really looking forward to my second lesson!

Glad you enjoyed the lesson.

How are you learning are you doing a 5 day course or a lesson at a time?

DAS is fantastic, you can learn all sorts of stuff that you will not pick up by just riding around on your own.

Even if you cannot afford a full course, a lesson or two is worth your while.

I am doing a lesson at the time, although it means i may have to postpone my test as the instructor is going away on holiday for a couple of weeks.

I will try and squeeze in a couple of lessons a week to make the process a bit quicker ... not sure how many lessons I'll be needing.

Guess half of the problem is that I do not currently have a bike hence do not ride on a daily basis, however hopefully it should not be too many!

JodieWodie, My main problem seems to be with road positioning ... see the following post after my second fail.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=245877&highlight=#245877

Also I am learning on a school bike, a Yamaha sr, a bit like a custom one, and really really do not like the road positioning, find it very hard to relax and feel confident on it!

Hopefully I should be much more relaxed on a larger bike and should have the confidence that the bike reacts the way I want it to.

As you have your own bike if you ride regularly you certainly should not have problems about being confident on your own bike.

Take it easy and enjoy it!
