Bit of an odd one. Going to look at a bike tomorrow which is up for sale. Guy is a young chap using it to get to college and back and one morning it wouldn't start, so he put cover over it and now is selling it (or so the story goes)

He seems kinda stupid, so I'm going to hope it's something really simple and get a steal, but I wanted to check if there is any horrific issues, head gasket aside, that they suffered from.

Cheers

I'm quite sure it's flat battery, or fuel starvation issues. Both cheap to solve. It is not going to be the head gasket, since he used the bike and even with blown head gasket he'd be able to start the engine.

As I see it, it could also be faulty charging (also cheap to solve), he rode it home once with no charging, which you can do like 100 miles with no charging, then after cold night the battery went totally flat = could not start it, put cover on it, gave up. Thumbs Up

Got more information.

'was riding, lost all revs and then it wouldn't ignite again, probs elecs'

So I think I'm gonna give it a miss, based on the changing story and that it sounds worse than just an electrical/fuelling fault.
