I've got a new bike with a datatool s4 alarm / immobiliser on. Unfortunately this came with the bike, because it's nothing but a pain in the backside.

I want to connect a heated vest and an optimate lead for the winter direct to the battery, will connecting these direct to the battery cause my immobiliser to potato my bike? I'm guessing I've got the disconnect the battery to connect them

Connecting an optimate shouldn't affect the immobiliser, it's only maintaining the charge of the battery, not making huge changes like a normal charger.

Yes just wire them up to the battery or better still
the + to the battery side of the starter relay and the - to any clean bolt on the frame so leaving just the main wires to the battery
