On the way home from work I crashed into the back of a Landrover Disco at 20mph! The trusty GS125 stood up well and was ridden home by my girlfriend's dad.

I have dented pride, a headache, several bruises and a broken wrist Evil or Very Mad It may need pinning but won't find out until Wednesday. They said to expect 8 weeks before the pot can come off so the DAS has to be cancelled Sad

The Disco driver is a biker and has been really cool. He was going to take me to hospital and has just phoned me to see if I'm ok Thumbs Up

At least I get some time of work, some compo from the hospital fund I'm in and a BCF award! Maybe even a custom title Wink

Well you will have to learn how to drink with your left. Laughing

Hope the arm heals nicely and your back on two wheels before winter (fingers crossed).

I take it the bike isn't too badly damaged if it is still rideable?

Hope everything works out mate. I broke my right wrist when I had my off. Had the cast off after 7 weeks and then 2 weeks in a support.

Keep lots of long thin objects handy for scratching moment's!

Bad luck mate. Hope you get well soon. Get back on the bike the minute you are well enough. I recently had a big off in a car when I parked my car in a field at 70mph, I left it too long before driving again and it scared the hell out of me when I returned.

Bummer!

If they give you any physio, just do it, and as often as they tell you.

I shattered my wrist in a bike accident (hand sticking out at about 10 degrees Sick ) but have against all expectations got the majority of the movement back in it (about five degrees restricted movement in all directions) which is good enough to pass an army physical. I put this down to taking on board what the physio told me. Even that touching your fingers and thumb together shit whilst the pot is on, stops the tendons sticking to the fracture site. Squeezy balls are your friend Wink

Hope you are back on the road soon.

Ouch! Glad your not too bad and I hope your bike isn't either Thumbs Up . When I had my wrist pinned I was typing with it again within a week, writing properly with in 3 weeks, and I was able (not allowed) to ride a bike again. However it took about 6 weeks to get the full range of motion back and on the 8th week I was given the all clear. Apart from immediatly after the operation, the whole healing process was relitivly painless and quick (young bones Very Happy ) and hopefully yours will be as well Thumbs Up . No doubt today will be agony (the day after a decent crash always is) but shouldn't last long before you are dying to get back on a bike Thumbs Up .

Heres to a quick recovery

Cheers, Jonathan
