win 8.1 change folder target location cmd line

so I've got an SSD now and want to move a load of folders from the C:\ drive to the data drive D:\. I know you can do this by setting the target in windows explorer. I'm thinking you must be able to do this via cmd prompt or powershell. How?

Are you asking how to redirect from one location to another? If so this might help (win 7)

Hard junction link creates a fixed redirect (not a shortcut) between the first location folder and the second. Here you can put a file in A and it will appear in B. Create B first, make sure A doesn't exist when you execute the command.

mklink /J c:\A c:\B
