Ace!

I'll tell "my mate" to cancel his order and buy a HD Freewheeler instead which he can drive on his car licence Brick Wall

They might throw in some assless leather chaps.

Are there places that would fabricate a bespoke exhaust for it?

Well yes, but it won't be cheap and to what end? It will sound worse and probably go even slower.

By the time he's finished throwing money at this project he could have passed his test and bought one of any number of viable V-twins that can make all the awful noise his heart desires.

On the original post, re: lousy fuel return! I would certainly follow the advice given regarding U-Tube video clips but, I would add to that, buy yourself a Haynes Workshop Manual for your bike and then read it, learn from it and move that one step further away from being a new novice biker to becoming a rider and mechanic in the making. It is also a lot more fun when you can do it yourself and/or with the help of U-Tube and BCF.
Kind Regards

I'd be amazed if they do a Haynes manual for this model.
