Bought an exhaust.

Courier (Citylink) failed to pick up and called me whilst driving in his van saying no one is at the door and he is knocking, despite radio playing Laughing

I need an item picked up from the MK postcode delivered to Maidstone ASAP...

Anyone have a good experience with a courier?

Maybe it varies with where you are but despite a lot of people slating them I have never had a problem with Hermes, 50 odd parcels have all got where they were sent and ontime.

I'm going to bet real money that's the first time in human history that those words have appeared in that order!! Laughing

I've always found DPD to be excellent, from a delivery point of view.

You could try this place?

https://www.uship.com/uk/

You put up the job, and private couriers bid on your business. Might just find someone already on your route and can pick up and drop on the way

Although the expression ASAP does not go well with Uship or Shiply, as they are both part-load type of sites, so you will only get your item when the guy bidding for it puts together a profitable enough run going in your direction/s.

I deal with TNT on a daily basis and have been quoted (written on the office wall in marker pen) "to solve our delivery issues we should just build a giant catapult on the roof, fling it in the general direction and hope for the best.

however, on the other hand, we do send out over 100 orders, some in multiple boxes, and only have a handful of issues a month.

However when they screw up, they can really screw up.

It's always a bit of a lottery as will depend how the local collection/delivery person is.

I'd just stick it into interparcel/parcel2go/parcel monkey and choose another one of the 'big brands' that isn't interparcel.

You could see if there are any UPS parcel shop places near by if the person with it is happy to drop it off at one.

Dont know about the cost of sending, I send very little. However DPD are good for receiving because of the map/live tracking of driver. Though my last item had no tracking, they said van GPS broke Neutral

DPD/UPS. Pay a slight premium but in my experience the service is better.
