After being left standing for a month and a half due to regulator/ battery problem I took the bike out this morn. As I was riding along I briefly took my hands off the bars as I wanted to check all was good. To my surprise the handlebars started to shake from side to side slightly and pretty rapidly. Needless to say I got back yo riding normally pretty sharpish! I took it to my bike mechanic and he said it could be the balance weights on the wheel, front and/or rear. what do you think? It's in over night and he's going to take a look at it and balance it for me. Haven't washed or done anything to cause this and it has never done this before. Advice would be great

cheers

Hi

I am no expert by any means but I hear that this can be caused by wheel balance which makes sense. Also I have heard that worn/damaged tyres can cause this so give it a good look over and maybe replace if this looks very squared off.

Also check the wheel bearings on the front and maybe steering bearings but I am not too clued up on these as not done any work on them yet.

Cheers
