Had a good ride out today to Squires cafe. It is the first time I had been after hearing so much about it and have to admit it was worth the ride. It was advertised as a 2T day and there certainly was a few there along with some stunning bikes. I did have a bit of an embarrassing moment as I arrived as I pulled up in the second parking area which is on a steep slope and as I tried pulling the bike backwards into a parking space up the hill I fell over with the bike! Embarassed Luckily no damage only my pride and someone came to my aid to lift it again. My mate couldn't help as he was still holding his bike on the brake waiting to park. Rolling Eyes Sods law I suppose. Anyway here are a couple of pics from the day. Very Happy[/img]

I do like the Kwack 750. With a single disc that didn't work, a frame made of rubber and a nicely shaped seat just right to flick the crap up onto following cars after you shat yourself!

Wonderful bike Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Laughing Going on what I've ridden, I had more fun on a 2 stroke crosser with 1/5 the engine size and more fun on my 675 in 2 days than in the whole 10 days I had in Spain. It is a boring bike Wink

Don't think there's been many times when I've been to squires and not seen this happen. As I've said before, better to go all the way back out and turn immediately left and follow the path around up onto the grassy bays where it's level. Of course, you're pride and joy won't get any appraising glances - but at least it won't get knackered. Worst of all is when they're in tight and one bike goes causing a domino effect taking several others with it. Seen that a few times as well. Followed by some squaring up and heated exchanges. Fuck that slope. I doubt I could design a car park better suited to causing bikes to fall over if I tried. If you really *must* park it there make sure the bike's off-side is facing down the slope so that the weight is all over onto the side stand. Don't use the main stand, and if it's a hot day consider using a puck just in case the tarmacs gone a bit soft.

Nice! Dunno whether you saw that "RD700"? In mars bar colours? Guy had somehow made a single lump using two 350 engines, then fitted a baby blade swing arm to accommodate a bandit 600 rear wheel, then put some decent forks on the front (can't remember what he told me they were). I said shit that's one mean bastard, what's it like? Guy says it won't really go forwards, only upwards. Laughing

Agree. Seen a few times, especially when busy. When it's quiet(er) the cars usually park on the sloped bit.

I was there Friday 6-7pm ish. 'Twas very quiet. I was guessing people winding down towards the end of the 'season' (plus kids back at school and the like).

I see Squires bike show weekend is coming up 27-28th. Not sure if that's a ticket only affair like the one earlier in the year. Which was a shame as I'd have liked to just roll up if I was free rather than committing/planning in advance.

Was there too, didn't see your mishap unfortunately. Although saw my first Suzuki Intruder, wow - black and yellow, looked dangerous Smile
