I've been using an old Oximiser for a couple of weeks, and it seemed to be fine until this morning when the wire between the unit to the battery caught fire. No harm done I think (I haven't checked the battery yet) but that fucking thing could have set the house on fire.

I emailed Oxford Products Ltd to ask them if they would cover the cost of postage if I sent the unit to them - I figured they would be very concerned that their product spontaneously combusted. This is the reply I got:

Quote:
Dear ------,

Thank you for your email.

We are sorry to hear of your issue and we are happy to inspect for you.

We would be more than happy to inspect the charger and advise further once we have seen it, however we would not cover the postage back to us and generally all issues should go back to the dealer where they purchased.

In your case this is second hand so this process would not be possible.

Yep, I snuck into your house while you were sleeping and sabotaged it Wink
Now you can buy the latest model and I'll get a promotion as we hit another sales target Smile
