Hi. A few weeks ago I began to hear a whining noise as I was riding and revving. Seemed to get louder the hotter the bike got. I changed the front wheel bearings hoping it was just that but the noise is still there. It seems to be louder in second gear for some reason at low revs. Has anybody had same problem or knows what it could be? I plan to do an oil and filter change at weekend to see if maybe that helps, probably not but its due a change anyway. I had a new chain and sprockets fitted a couple of months ago and noise started few weeks after that if thats any help but I keep it regularly lubed and adjusted to correct tension. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Assuming from the hilighted bit that the whining is more dependant on revs rather than speed?

Does it stop (or reduce considerably) if you drop the revs and pull the clutch in while riding?

What bike is it?
